Who Will Save Us?

I believe in doing my American political duty in voting and participating in every legal way in government.  But I fear many people have lost sight of America's real source of power. This is why we are in such a strait today.

Throughout the most recent campaign for president, Obama declared that if he were elected, he would do many grand but impossible things. Be this due to his inexperience or whatever,  it is still the responsibility of the people to vote based on reason and truth. Really, many people nearly worshiped him as their "savior" without doubting many of the things he said, but blindly defending him without having all the facts.

This is why the true Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ, is not allowing him to be able to succeed in doing all he said. The Bible says God is not willing to share His glory with any. He is not mocked. Now God is showing everyone He is the true God, just and holy. When we as believers are mocked for what we say in support of God and the Bible, we are not "offended" for ourselves, because we know we are not the ones who said it - God said it and He is the one who is offended. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

During this time of economic and political turmoil, we can instill hope by also sharing another quality of God - that of love which is evidenced by Him sending His Son Jesus to suffer the judgment we deserve. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Have you ever met a perfect person? I am not as perfect as God and neither is anyone else. His standard is perfection.  Who will make it to heaven on their own ability if God's standard is perfection?  The answer is - no one.  There is none righteous, no not one.  The wages of sin is death. The “wages” for our sin is hell - all liars will have their part in the lake of fire, everlasting fire.

But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jesus suffered ALL the judgment we deserve. It is a gift of God to all of us who choose to believe on (depend on) Him for our Salvation.  The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This is the love of God. If you know you are a sinner too (like the rest of us) and you depend on Him to cleanse you from all of that sin and look to Him for your future instead of looking to politics or anything else to save you, pray to Him and tell Him so.  He will save you from your sin (as He did me and many, many others) because He said He would and He cannot lie - He is perfect.

Then really read the Bible for yourself (don't just say you will) and find out what it really says for yourself. You will be amazed!

In the end, God wins. Be on the winning side!
